This radio can operate on an internal recharging battery from built in Solar panel, Dynamo (crank), or 3 AA batteries (optional). The solar panel on the front tilts to get better sun exposure and reveals a worklight underneath. There is a thermometer on the front of the Radio in case temperature is critical.
